What Is Colloidal Silver?
Colloidal silver is a liquid containing extremely small particles of silver suspended in a liquid medium, typically purified water.
The term "colloid" describes a mixture in which very small particles are dispersed throughout another substance rather than simply settling immediately to the bottom.
Colloidal Silver vs. Ionic Silver
Although the terms "colloidal silver" and "ionic silver" are sometimes used interchangeably, they aren't exactly the same.
Colloidal silver contains microscopic particles of metallic silver suspended in liquid.
Ionic silver contains silver in an electrically charged ionic form dissolved in the liquid.
Many products marketed as colloidal silver contain a combination of silver particles and silver ions. The proportions can vary considerably depending on how the product is manufactured.

What Does PPM Mean?
Colloidal silver concentration is commonly expressed in PPM, or parts per million. A larger PPM number indicates a greater concentration of silver.
Ultra Silver is available in:
- 500 PPM
- 1,000 PPM
- 5,000 PPM
- 10,000 PPM

Why Does Colloidal Silver Have Color?
The appearance of a silver dispersion can vary depending on factors such as particle characteristics and concentration.
Ultra Silver has a distinctive amber-to-dark-brown appearance, with higher concentrations generally appearing darker.
Color by itself, however, isn't a reliable measurement of concentration. Laboratory analysis provides a much better way to determine how much silver a product contains.
How Is Ultra Silver Different?
Ultra Silver specializes in highly concentrated colloidal silver made using .9999 fine silver and purified water.
Rather than relying solely on product appearance or marketing descriptions, we use independent laboratory testing to verify product concentration.
